1. Information we collect
Account details (name, email, phone), company and licensing information for contractors, project descriptions and attachments you upload, messages sent through the platform, payment records processed by our payment partner, and technical data such as device, browser, and pages visited.
2. How we use it
To operate the marketplace: matching projects with contractors, processing escrow payments, verifying contractor credentials, preventing fraud, providing support, and improving the product. We send transactional emails always, and marketing emails only with your consent.
3. What we share
Project details are shown to registered contractors so they can bid. Your contact details are shared with the other party only after a contract is formed. We share data with service providers (payments, hosting, analytics) under contract, and with authorities when the law requires it. We never sell personal information.
4. Payment data
Card and bank details are collected and stored by our licensed payment processor. We never see or store full card numbers on our servers.
5. Retention
We keep account data while your account is active and for up to 7 years afterwards where tax and contract law requires it. You can request deletion of data we are not legally required to keep.
6. Your choices
You can access and update your profile at any time, opt out of marketing emails with one click, and request an export or deletion of your data at privacy@contractorintexas.com.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is role-restricted, and admin actions are logged. No system is perfectly secure — report any concern to security@contractorintexas.com.
